The service is built on the European eIDAS regulation, the same legal framework governing electronic signatures across all 27 EU member states.

What happens if the recipient does not sign the acknowledgement of receipt?

The document is not transmitted and the procedure expires automatically after 15 days. You retain the proof of sending (qualified electronic timestamp). During these 15 days, 3 automatic reminders (every 4 days) are sent to the recipient.
